to Malta
Not every route starts the same way.
And not every delivery looks standard.

The story shared by one of our drivers illustrates this perfectly.
🔒 A Loading Process That Felt Different from the Start
It all began in Lisbon.
From the very first moments, it was clear this would not be a routine transport.
The driver was allowed to enter the facility as the only vehicle.
Once inside, two heavy gates closed behind him, and the entire site was secured by armed security personnel.
There was no information about the cargo.
The temperature was set according to procedure.
The driver was not allowed to leave the vehicle, and the loading process took place without his involvement.
Once completed, the cargo space was sealed and additionally secured.
The documents were handed over in a closed envelope.
It was one of those moments when the procedure says everything — and at the same time, very little.
🛣️ Across Europe
After loading, further instructions followed.
The message was brief:
the shipment would be received under escort at the destination.
The route led through Portugal, Spain, France, and Italy, then by ferry to Sicily and finally to Malta.
Behind this operation were:
- carefully planned checkpoints
- strict timing control
- temperature monitoring
- full compliance with security procedures
And yet, like on any long-haul route, there were moments revealing another side of the job:
night drives,
a distant view of Mount Etna,
early mornings between borders,
silence on the ferry deck.
These contrasts are part of everyday life in international transport.
🚔 Escort at the Destination
Upon arrival in Malta, in the evening, the pace changed again.
Police vehicles were already waiting.
The port area was secured, and the truck continued under escort.
The unloading location was also restricted.
Access was limited strictly to authorized personnel.
Only at this point did it become clear how sensitive and highly secured this transport had been.
